A friend of mine recently turned me onto The Avett Brothers, with that, these guys are just onto something. I can’t quite put my finger on it. It could be the pure energy they put out (you have to love the way they’re bouncing around during the beginning, they’re into it), maybe it’s the rawness of the instruments and vocals, or perhaps the fact that it reminds me of early Ween material crossing an intersection with punk rock. Regardless, this is original stuff and they deserve some recognition. Hope you enjoy!
Another tune from the Caustics album, dedicated to someone I used to work with. I found a toy lap harp several months ago and was anxious to get it recorded. Not quite like the real thing, but it has a certain something to it that I can’t explain.

No, this is not a Ween reference. Just heard on the radio that Kraft Foods, Inc made a bid to take over Cadbury PCL, the makers of the one and only Cadbury Creme Egg. I don’t know how many people are with me, but the Cadbury Creme Egg has defined Easter ever since…well…ever. Though Kraft’s proposal was initially declined, if Cadbury were to come back with a counter offer and actually seal a deal…well, this can only mean one thing. Easter will be ruined forever.
I can only assume that the true intentions of Kraft would be to replace the yolk of the (once delicious) creme eggs with some breed of Kraftish American cheese filling. Imagine the fallout. Sure, they might start with their traditional liquid orange cheese, which many American children are fond of, but what if they decided to move onto feta, or even roquefort. Kids, teens and adults across the world would be in for an utter disappointment.
Had to blow the dust off this one too, recorded in 08, though it will be on the new album. Special thanks to my lovely wife for providing the vocal tracks, my voice just isn’t that pretty. And no, freebase is not a drug reference. Are you allowed to start a sentence with “and”? For some reason I don’t think so, oh well. Hope you guys enjoy it!
